Fatal San Diego Motorcycle Accident in North Park

A deadly motorcycle accident occurred last week when the rider failed to notice a stop sign and breezed through the intersection, colliding with a car in the North Park neighborhood of San Diego. The victim has since been identified as a resident of Cardiff-by-the-Sea.

James Scott Bailey, 26, was riding along Arizona Street heading south and apparently searching for the house of a friend just before 6:30 p.m., and missed the stop sign located at the Arizona and Meade Avenue intersection. The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office reported that he was struck by a westbound sedan, and died due to the accident.

Witnesses and bystanders to the accident attempted to revive Bailey by CPR but were unsuccessful. Bailey was reported dead when he arrived at a hospital a mere 20 minutes following the deadly motorcycle accident.
