Riverside County Motorcycle Accident Kills Menifee Rider

A 21-year old Menifee man was killed in a fatal Riverside County motorcycle accident when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a van at the intersection of Newport and Via Corazon Roads. The motorcycle accident happened on March12, 2010 at around 5:15 pm.

The deceased, Joshua Gurley, was riding a Yamaha motorcycle eastbound on Newport between Antelope Road and Via Corazon, when his vehicle broadsided a van that was attempting to make a left turn onto Newport from Via Corazon. The driver of the van was uninjured. Gurley was pronounced dead at 6 p.m., shortly after he arrived at Inland Valley Regional Medical Center.

Our office offers our prayers and condolences to the family and friends of Gurley. It must be a really hard time for the family. Without a doubt, those riding a bike need to be more careful than people who drive cars or trucks. The element of danger is always more for motorcycle riders.
