Green Bay Packers’ tight end Spencer Havner was injured in a Northern California motorcycle accident that occurred somewhere in an unincorporated area in Nevada County on March 13, 2010. The accident happened around 2:45 a.m.
Reportedly, Havner was riding on a dead-end off Indian Flat Road when he lost control and crashed his 2007 Kawasaki motorcycle. Havner suffered from severe lacerations and a broken shoulder blade. He was taken to Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital where he was later arrested on charges of DUI. Havner was also not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
Our office wishes Havner a quick recovery and hopes that he gets well soon. Undoubtedly, the Packers will have something to say about this motorcycle crash. His contract will probably say that he either cannot ride a motorcycle or that he must avoid hazardous activities, like riding a motorcycle without a helmet.
