Two police officers were hurt in a San Francisco motorcycle accident on March 17, 2010 around 1:00 p.m. The traffic accident took place along California Street just past Grant Avenue in San Francisco.
The police officers were escorting a black Ford Expedition as part of their training when they lost control of their motorcycles and collided with each other. They were riding at a moderate speed of 25 mph. Though the cause of this accident is yet unknown. it is suspected that a small rubber object, a part of the motorcycle, may have been instrumental in causing the crash. One of the officers had a leg injury, while the other officers had upper-body injuries.
Our office wishes the motorcycle officers a quick recovery. We hope that the cause behind the crash is found out at the earliest and in case there is some defect with the model, they are recalled and corrected.
