Motorcycle accidents increase every year as the weather changes and Spring comes.  Even in sunny California, when the weather gets warmer and the sun comes out, the volume of motorcyclists on the road increases—and so do motorcycle accidents.

In some parts of the Country and in higher elevations, like in the mountains, a large number of motorcycle accidents take place due to the fact that sand covers the roads after the snow has melted. In these circumstances, it is the sand that causes a motorcyclist to spin out of control and cause accident.

Most of the motorcycle accidents that take place in the Spring can be avoided. It is well advised that all drivers to keep a look out for motorcyclists as they tend to get hidden behind trees and other objects. With May being National Motorcycle Safety month, our office urges all drivers and riders to operate their vehicles safely. Look twice before you take a turn and always be predictable in your driving pattern.  Doing so will help prevent accidents.
