34-year-old Faraz Memon was killed in a tragic motorcycle crash that occurred on December 31, 2011, around 9 a.m. near the Orange County Line. According to California Highway Patrol, Memon suddenly accelerated as he drove east on his 2006 Yamaha R6 and lost control on a sweeping curve.
On November 26, 2009, a 20 year-old motorcyclist was killed on the 101 Freeway when he crashed into a metal guardrail at approximately 100 mph. The Los Angeles motorcycle rider was not identified immediately following the crash, but it is known that he lived in Sherman Oaks, CA. He was pronounced dead an hour later at Sherman Oaks Hospital.
